Premieres Sunday night at 10p

I don’t know how she does it, but Julia Louis-Dreyfus just keeps getting better and better.  She was enjoyable on ‘Seinfeld’ and she was what drew me into the series I never thought I would want to watch, ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine.’  In HBO’s new comedy, ‘Veep’ she plays the U.S. Vice President who is at all times surrounded by a staff of nincompoops.

Ms. Louis-Dreyfus and U.K. creator and Armando Iannucci together have made quite possibly, the best comedy on television since Ricky Gervais’ ‘The Office.’ The humour is an amalgamation of deadpan, absurdist and slapstick, and the supporting players on the series make it play off as the most natural thing in the world: Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Timothy C. Simons and Matt Walsh.  Hilarious.  All of them.

Even though I’ve already seen the first few episodes, I seriously cannot wait to watch them again.  I’m moving this to the top of the DVR list if I can figure out how.
