When I first saw ‘Sherlock’ last year I was mesmerized.  First it was the tilt-shift photography and the playful subtitles to reveal text messages and emails, and then it was Sherlock’s gift for piecing together an entire narrative from observing the tiniest bits of information.

Beyond these artistic touches though are the two things which make the series sing: the terrific stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the central relationship between Sherlock and John Watson, played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, respectively.

This second season, comprised of 3 feature-length episodes are actually more engaging than those in season one, perhaps because the stories are some of the most iconic in the canon – A Scandal in Belgravia, The Hounds of Baskerville and The Reichenbach Fall work as fantastic stand-alone adventures but also let us dive further into the friendship and comedy between these two fellas.

Season three is happening, right?
